Power forward: Isaiah Livers

This is another really obvious call as Livers will be back in the starting lineup at the four this season and even though he’s not getting as much love as Wagner in the preseason, pundits shouldn’t discount him as one of the Big Ten’s best players.

Livers played in just 21 games last season due to injury and Michigan basketball was a different team without his 12.9 ppg and 40-percent shooting clip from 3-point range.

While Livers will technically be the four for Michigan most of the time, he will play as a wing mostly and last year, he was able to do his best work when guarded by other bigs.

It will be interesting to see how often he is used in ball-screen situations but with his ability to shoot from deep, you’d think he would be successful. He can also rise up and get a decent look just about any time he wants.

The other guy who should see lots of time at the four is Brandon Johns, who isn’t that unlike Brown in that he’s good enough to start, there just isn’t enough room.
