1. Play with excitement

Last week one of the keys was for the Wolverines to play with some confidence. That didn’t happen. So this week I am changing up the wording and maybe by us thinking hard enough about it, it will rub off.

The Wolverines have to come out and play with some excitement. Look I know getting up for a game against Rutgers is not the easiest thing to do, but with the way Michigan has played, no game is easy.

The Wolverines need to come out fired up and ready to turn things around. They are a better team than Rutgers, even with the bad play the last three weeks. This is a team they still should come out and be able to beat. But they can’t do that if they come out flat.

They need to be ready to play with a fire under the rear ends. That starts from the top. This has been an incredibly humbling time for the coaches, but they need to snap out of it and come out fired up.

When you play excited and ready to go, you play a lot better, and guess what it is fun. The last three weeks have been a drag and a way to snap out of that is to get a win. Come out excited and play well and at least for one week, feel good about how you played.
