4. The team will finish close to .500

As bad the 2020 Michigan football season has gone so far, there are five games left for the Wolverines and time for Harbaugh and company to change the narrative, at least a little.

Rutgers is on tap for Michigan this week and then games follow against Maryland and Penn State before the Wolverines travel to Columbus, which should be a blood bath.

Michigan has a lot of young players playing and that was something that just got overlooked. It didn’t help when Nico Collins and Ambry Thomas opted out, then Jalen Mayfield, Kwity Paye and Aidan Hutchinson all got hurt.

Those are probably the five best NFL prospects right there and none suited up last week against Wisconsin. Add to that, 11 guys drafted into the NFL, including four starters on the offensive line, the quarterback, a top receiver and the best pass rusher and there were sure to be growing pains.

Some of the younger players haven’t lived up to the hype and that’s on the coaching staff. Even with the youth, this team has enough to win games consistently in the Big Ten and believe it or not, that will happen over the next month.

Harbaugh will get Michigan to 4-5 wins and that will be enough, especially in Manuel’s eyes to save his job.
