A lot of intriguing talent

As we detailed here, Juwan Howard can do a lot with a guy like Moussa Diabate, but when you think about Howard’s first two recruiting class together, there’s a lot of possibilities.

Hunter Dickinson was the top-rated recruit in the 2020 class and he’s a legit big man. He’s an old school post player who score, rebound and actually pass the ball pretty well. He should do well pair with Diabate and Brandon Johns if he’s still around next season.

Even though Michigan basketball will lose Eli Brooks, Mike Smith and Chaundee Brown after this season, the trio of Zeb Jackson, Bufkin and Collins is pretty exciting.

Not to mention, Houstan, who is an elite shooter who can play multiple positions. Tschetter could also see time at the four or even the five and that doesn’t even get to guys like Terrance Williams and Jace Howard.

U-M will likely need to add another guard in the transfer portal, because it would be relying heavily on a sophomore and two freshmen otherwise, but a frontcourt trio of Dickinson, Diabate and Houstan seems very possible and that’s exciting.
