Joe Milton will be impressive

To win big games, you need your best players to step up and against Wisconsin on Saturday, Joe Milton is going to be one of the Wolverines best.

Milton has been solid in his first three starts, although he made some costly mistakes against Indiana and has been plagued by slow starts. Much of that has had to do with a non-existent ground game but if Michigan is going to have a shot, Milton will need play at a high level.

Last week, he completed just 52 percent of his passes and against Michigan State, Milton was forced to throw the ball 51 times. Neither of those is a good formula.

The Wolverines need to establish some semblance of a ground game this week, which I think they will. That will be enough to take some pressure on Milton and allow him to take shots down field.

The offensive line should be able to hold up against Wisconsin, which doesn’t have any terrorizing pass rushers and things did seem to click between Joe and his wideouts last week. It may not be enough to beat the Badgers, but I expect Milton to play well against under the lights.
