Eric Bieniemy – Offensive Coordinator, Kansas City Chiefs

Eric Bieniemy is the hot name out there to be a head coach in the NFL. The problem is he still hasn’t gotten that opportunity. He has been a great coach for the Chiefs and is in charge of the best offenses in the league.

He has helped develop Patrick Mahomes into the best quarterback in the NFL and was part of the Super Bowl-winning team last year. He is highly respected and is obviously a great offensive mind working alongside Andy Reid.

He is more than likely going to become an NFL head coach, but if the Wolverines gave him a call, would he listen. Could he be tired of being passed up by NFL teams and jump at the chance at bringing the Wolverines back?

It is probably a long shot, but the Wolverines could do a lot worse.

Byron Leftwich – Offensive Coordinator, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is a long shot and Michigan probably won’t kick the tires, but he is an interesting option. He has been a good coordinator for the Bucs and helped Jameis Winston throw for over 4,000 yards and 30+ touchdowns. That isn’t an easy thing to do with Winston.

He is spoiled right now working with former Wolverine Tom Brady and probably wouldn’t leave, but he is seen as a rising star in the NFL and could be a head coach before too long.

He is an offensive mind who is working under one of the better head coaches in Bruce Arians and would bring some toughness to the Wolverines that they seem to be lacking.

Leftwich will probably stick it out in the NFL, but would definitely be a name to consider.
