Takeaways

Offensively, Michigan football’s offensive line was a big problem against a lackluster Indiana defensive line. It led to collapsed pockets around Joe Milton and virtually shut down the Wolverine rushing attack.

Milton missed a few throws that could have changed the game, however, he also made several “wow” throws that kept the Wolverines from being eviscerated completely.

Defensively, Michigan has enormous problems on the outside and they need to get creative immediately to halt the downfield success that opposing teams seem to have every week.

Pressure from the front seven goes hand in hand with the deep passes as well. After sacking Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan five times in the opener, the Wolverines have not registered a sack since.

Overall, I believe the defense is more of a concern than the offense. The young offensive line should continue to grow each week and improve while Milton and his receivers will also gain better chemistry moving forward.

Ohio State’s juggernaut of an offense looms large in the back of every Michigan Football fan’s mind, and it should be emphasized every week from here on out during practice for the Wolverine defense.
