A few bright spots

After getting beaten by Indiana by 17 points and not having the lead once, it’s hard to find the bright spots but there were a few, however short lived.

Joe Milton had some moments in the win that gave you hope. He finished 18-of-34 for 344 yards and three touchdowns but had two interceptions, including one in the fourth quarter, when Michigan football was down 10 that sealed its fate.

But he kept Michigan in the game and was able to connect on touchdown passes with Ronnie Bell, who went off and Cornelius Johnson who caught four passes for 82 yards and a score.

Roman Wilson, the freshman also hauled in a touchdown pass, although it was his only reception of the game. So there were a few good things, but even Milton is hard to feel great about.

He’s looked much more pedestrian the past two weeks and he’s certainly contributed to some of the slow starts offensively, although drops have not helped.

In the grand scheme of things, Milton isn’t the problem. The same can’t be said about the coaching staff though.
