3. Protect the ball

Outside of the blocked punt early in the Minnesota game, the Wolverines have played clean football. Knock on wood, but they have zero turnovers in their first two games and they need to keep that up.

The running backs have done a great job of protecting the ball and the receivers have also once they catch the ball.

Milton has forced a few passes, but for the most part, he has made good decisions. Again he needs to be more accurate but it hasn’t resulted in a turnover yet.

We mentioned earlier that the Hoosiers only had 211 yards of offense in their win against Penn State. They were able to pull off the upset despite the lack of yards because of Penn State turnovers.

The Hoosiers aren’t a great defense but they are opportunistic. They have forced three turnovers in both games this year. They have done a great job of turning those into points and it is exactly what the Wolverines need to avoid.

Keep playing turnover-free football and it will put them in a position to win.

This is not going to be an easy game, but the Wolverines have the talent to win. They just need to shore up a few things and show up ready to play. The Hoosiers will definitely be ready.
