Michigan wins BIG

People don’t want to give Harbaugh any credit but this is a chance to win a third straight game against Michigan State, which didn’t seem all that easy just a few years ago.

Still, I expect a fight from the Spartans, at least early on. Last year, MSU was able to grab the early lead at the Big House and it wouldn’t shock me if they did that again this year.

But it’s hard to envision any scenario with Michigan State actually winning this game. The gap is just enormous right now. The Wolverines are loaded with NFL talent and the Spartans just don’t have the dudes to match them right now.

Certainly, a good showing by Mel Tucker and his team would help, at least on the recruiting trail, which is why the Wolverines really need to step on their throats when they get a chance.

Michigan has the better coach, the better QB and the better roster, so if this game is going to be competitive, it will have to include a fair number of Michigan mistakes.

Yet, in rivalry games, just about anything can happen, but Michigan football has a lot of momentum right now and it wins the game without too much worry.

More. Why Wolverines will beat Sparty and why they might not. light

Final score: Michigan 45, Michigan State 17
