5 Predictions for Michigan Football against Michigan State
The Wolverines will win the rushing yards battle
Last year, even though the Wolverines dominated Michigan State, they didn’t exactly do it on the ground as they managed just 86 rushing yards compared to 55 yards for the Spartans.
Shea Patterson was the one who did most of the damage a year ago, throwing for 384 yards and four touchdowns in one of his best games as a Michigan football player.
This time around, I do expect Milton to have a field day throwing the ball, but the Wolverines will also be able to do a better job of establishing the run.
The offensive line proved its a strength last week and with Zach Charbonnet, Hassan Haskins, Chris Evans and Blake Corum all standing out, MSU will have its hands full, especially since Milton can run too.
On the other side of the ball, Michigan’s run defense had some issues against Minnesota and unfortunately for the Spartans and guys like Elijah Collins, U-M will take out its frustration on the MSU ground game, which for the third straight year, won’t reach 100 yards.
