5 Predictions for Michigan Football against Michigan State
What will Joe do for an encore?
Last week, every Michigan football fan had to love what they saw from Joe Milton, who was just about flawless is his first career start.
The redshirt sophomore only had seven incompletions, thanks to a few drops, and didn’t turn the ball over once, while accounting for two touchdowns and 277 total yards. His throws were on the money, he ran well and made good decisions.
Those are all things that have to worry Michigan State. The other thing is that Milton didn’t even hit on a deep ball last week, so I think we will see a few more shots down the field.
The Spartans weren’t terrible defensively against Rutgers, they surrendered under 300 total yards. The pass defense did allow 18-of-29 completions to former Nebraska backup Noah Vedral, who was also sacked by MSU only twice.
With a really good offensive line and as a good a running back group as Harbaugh has ever had, the Wolverines should be able to keep MSU off balance and that should lead to a big day for Milton, who I think gets over 300 total yards this week and accounts for at least three TDs.
