3 Reasons Michigan Football will beat Spartans, one reason it won’t
Miracles are possible, especially if Wolverines are overconfident
The biggest worry for Michigan going into this game is taking the Spartans seriously, which I have no doubt they will do. But they are huge favorites and it would be easy to overlook MSU a little.
That’s one way that the Spartans can have a chance in this game. If Michigan football isn’t quite ready and makes some early mistakes or has a turnover, it could lead to a close game and a much tougher job of beating the Spartans.
The first game for a head coach in a rivalry is always important and you can bet that Tucker wants to make a better impression than he did a week ago. So even though it would be stunning if the Spartans pulled the upset, it’s a rivalry game and won’t be a walk in the park.
No Michigan fan needs a reminder of the some of the crazy wins Michigan State has pulled out in this series, including the “trouble with the snap” game, as well as the phantom clock game.
The difference is those Michigan State teams were good and by all appearances this one isn’t. But this will be the Spartans Super Bowl, meaning it’s imperative for U-M take the Spartans seriously, because if it does, it will be very hard to see an upset at the Big House Saturday.
