Michigan has found its quarterback

Joe Milton still has a lot to prove as Michigan football’s starting quarterback, but he delivered an excellent performance in his first start. He had only has seven incompletions, which included a few drops and his running ability is going to be a huge weapon.

For years, the lack of a true running threat at quarterback has held back Michigan’s offense and last night, you could see why.

Not only was Milton very accurate throwing the football, he made great decisions and on third and short and goal-line situations, he’s going to be really hard to stop as we saw last night with him running for multiple first downs and a touchdown.

Ohio State has tormented the Wolverines for years with quarterbacks who can run and throw and even with Shea Patterson that was never really an option.

For years, Michigan fans have heard offseason hype about quarterbacks only to be disappointed. But if Saturday was any indication, that won’t be the case in 2020. Milton is the real deal and as the season moves forward, we should only expect him to get better and better.
