Michigan’s LB haul is ridiculously good

Right off the bat, I will say that there could be some reason to be concerned about the commitment of Jaydon Hood, although he does seem very solid.

But Miami still wants a linebacker and now that the Hurricanes missed on Jennings, they will probably ramp up their pursuits of Hood and maybe even try to negatively recruit Michigan because of Jennings, since they play similar positions.

However, like Josh Ross and McGrone, the two could co-exist. The key is Michigan continuing to recruit Hood and keeping his commitment solid.

If the Wolverines are able to do that, their linebacker group in 2021 is outstanding. Not only does it include Junior Colson, a pass-rushing viper who can do it all, as well as Hood, Jennings and Tyler McLaurin, a three-star linebacker out of Illinois.

Jennings is the fifth four-star defender to commit to the Wolverines this cycle and three of those guys are linebackers.

A few months ago, before getting Colson and Hood, there was a concern about Michigan not getting enough high-ranking defenders, but that’s changing and the commitment of Jennings could help Michigan reel in another four-star recruit.
