Freshmen will make an early impact

The returns on the 2020 recruiting class so far have been pretty good as a number of true freshmen have worked their way into the mix on the two-deep.

One of those is safety Makari Paige, who could be the No. 3 safety now that Sammy Faustin is seeing more time at cornerback. But he’s far from the only newcomer making an impact.

Just on the defense, linebackers such as Nikhai Hill-Green, Kalel Mullings and William Mohan have all impressed the coaches and will likely see the field early, even just on special teams.

Linebackers that play their freshman year, such as Devin Bush, Michael Barrett and Anthony Solomon, even on special teams, tend to start their second or third year.

Andre Seldon is another name to watch in the secondary and on offense, wideouts Roman Wilson and A.J. Henning have turned heads, as has offensive lineman Zak Zinter, who Michigan believes was one of the best O-lineman in the entire 2020 class. So far, he looks like a steal and a starter.

And all together, the 2020 class looks very promising.
