No.’s 3-4

No 4. Kentucky: The Wildcats have started to build a recruiting presence in the state of Michigan and last year, they were able to snap Justin Rogers from Oak Park, a teammate of Benny’s, so there is a connection there. They also play in the SEC.

Those ties are likely the reason why Benny has included the Wildcats on his list and not LSU, which never seemed to push hard enough. If there was a visit there, it could have been different.

The quote from Benny about it not being over made it seem like he’d be willing to leave the state but based on the current recruitment, the Wildcats have ground to make up.

No. 3 Penn State: It was close between Penn State and Kentucky, but the Nittany Lions have done a better job of recruiting Benny and their staff has done a good job in Michigan this cycle, landing a few of the top prospects from the state.

However, James Franklin made some curious comments about his recruiting class not being up to par recently, which is a strange thing to say if you are selling your program. At any rate, they are in the mix and Benny said his mom likes more than most.

But, Penn State has picked up ground it seems with George Rooks and since that feels like a more possible target for them, Benny feels like more of a longshot.
