Maxwell Hairston

There is one big difference between Maxwell Hairston and the other defensive backs on the list. That difference is the fact that Freeman and Cooper actually have offers from Michigan.

Hairston, a three-star cornerback from in-state program West Bloomfield, was talking with the Michigan coaches leading up to his senior season but he has never received an offer.

Hairston is 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds according to his 247 sports profile and he has legitimate 4.4 speed. He also is known for man coverage. Here’s what Clayton Sayfie of Rivals ($) wrote this about Hairston after watching him this season in person:

"“Not only does he shut down one side of the field on a down-to-down basis, but he came up with an acrobatic interception in week one and then showed his versatility by scoring an 80-yard touchdown reception in week three.”"

It’s been thought that if Hairston received an offer, he would want to commit to the Wolverines and Sayfie experessed that opinion again.

The cornerback is committed to Kentucky, but obviously, Michigan is right in his backyard and if the Wolverines pushed, it feels like there is a very realistic chance.
