5 Bold predictions for Michigan Football’s offense in 2020
New bests for points and yards under Harbaugh
During the last six games of the 2019 season, Michigan football’s offense got into high gear and averaged 34.8 points per game to go along with 413 yards per game.
This stretch included games against Ohio State and Alabama, yet even still, the Wolverines racked up more than 40 points and 400 yards three times.
This year, now that everyone is more comfortable in this offense, especially the quarterbacks and receivers, things should run smoother than at the start of last season when there was a transition, so the whole year should look like the final six games of 2019, but even more productive.
This year’s weapons also just fit the system better and even Gattis has talked about liking the depth more this year, even without Collins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and Tarik Black.
So for the first time since 2016, Michigan will average more than 40 points per game and in terms of total yards, somewhere between 425-450, which would be the top offense under Harbaugh.
