Michigan Football: Ranking 2020 opponents by difficulty

1. @ Ohio State – December 12th

Who else would it be? We all know the recent history and eight straight losses. The last two coming in embarrassing fashion for the defense. With Justin Fields back for the Buckeyes, it doesn’t look like it will be much easier.

The Buckeyes do lose a lot of talent from last year’s team, but they just reload. The Wolverines will be glad to see JK Dobbins go, but Ohio State always seems to have someone else ready to jump in a shred the Michigan defense.

Michigan has a lot of work to do to catch the Buckeyes but in this shortened season that could be very up and down, anything can happen. Will it finally be the year the Wolvienres break the streak or will it be yet another end of season loss to the bitter rival?

This game could definitely have Big Ten East implications if the Wolverines can navigate their rough schedule.

The offense hasn’t been the problem for the Wolverines recently against the Buckeyes, but the defense needs to step up.

Whoever wins this game will more than likely be the Big Ten East champions. It will no doubt be a battle, that won’t change. What will feel weird is the fact that this game is being played in the middle of December and the weather could be a huge factor.

The Wolverines could also benefit from no fans in the stands as the Horshoe is one of the loudest stadiums in the Big Ten.

The Buckeyes stand as the toughest game of the year for the Wolverines and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.
