Michigan football has one of the toughest schedules in the Big Ten this year and here’s our game-by-game prediction for the Wolverines.

Last weekend, we finally got a look at the Michigan football schedule for the 2020 season and as Wolverines fans know at this point, the schedule is far from easy.

In fact, it’s viewed as the toughest schedule in the Big Ten conference. Not only does Michigan football have to play Ohio State and Penn State in the East, as well as traditional rivals, the Wolverines also drew Wisconsin and Minnesota in divisional crossover games.

As far as the difficulty of the schedule, it is what it is. Michigan was scheduled to play Wisconsin and Minnesota already this year, so it’s not like the Wolverines were subject to an injustice.

Despite the difficulty of things and the fact that the ESPN FPI gives Michigan better than a 50 percent chance to win just five of its eight games, I’m cautiously optimistic heading into 2020.

There are certainly question marks heading into the season especially at quarterback. Joe Milton is expected to be the starter and the hype surrounding him is off the charts.

But, we have never seen him start or even play a full game, so until we see him get extended playing time, anyone saying they know exactly what we will see is just guessing.

Nico Collins, another elite player on offense, also isn’t likely to return, along with Ambry Thomas a starting corner. The offensive line will also have a minimum of four new starters.

Still, there are reasons to feel good about this team and here’s a look at how the Wolverines will fare in the 2020 season with game-by-game predictions.
