Michigan Football: Breaking down Wolverines new 2020 schedule
By Max S.
If you were looking for a cupcake game to start off the new season for Michigan football, I have some bad news for you. The Wolverines will start the new season on the road against Minnesota on October 24th.
The Big Ten announced their new schedule today live on Fox, and let’s just say, the Wolverines don’t have it easy. Michigan football will play two division crossover games and those two teams happen to be Wisconsin and Minnesota, who were the two best teams in the Big Ten West last season.
In comparison, Ohio State’s two division crossover games are Nebraska and Illinois. That’s a tough and unlucky pill to swallow if you’re a Michigan fan.
Here is the full schedule for Michigan football:
October 24th- at Minnesota
October 31st- vs Michigan State
November 7th- at Indiana
November 14th- vs Wisconsin
November 21st- at Rutgers
November 28th- vs Penn State
December 5th- at Maryland
December 12th- at Ohio State
Takeaways
Wow, what a brutal start to the season for Michigan. Minnesota will be very good and has expectations of winning the Big Ten West.

Michigan State is in year one of rebuilding and shouldn’t pose much of a threat to Michigan in week two. But Michigan vs Michigan State on Halloween in a rivalry game? Who knows what will happen.
Michigan then follows with Indiana who always plays them tough, and then faces the Big Ten West favorites in Wisconsin in week four.
The Game will still be held on the last week of the season on December 12th when Michigan travels down to Columbus to take on Big Ten Title favorites Ohio State.
I look at this schedule and I only see three guaranteed wins. Michigan State, Rutgers, and Maryland.
Without diving too deep into the schedule or predictions, at first glance, If Michigan can go 6-2, I think that would be a respectable season for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.
