Michigan football finally has some momentum again on the recruiting trail, but looking ahead, who could be the next commitments?

Looking ahead is always fun and until we actually have a Michigan football season to follow, it’s really the only thing we have to do.

Obviously, recruiting is always a hot topic, but that could be starting to slow down some too. At least in terms of some commitments.

A ton of recruits are already committed in the 2021 class and as far as Michigan football is concerned, it has very few realistic targets left on the board.

Certainly, it could expand and it probably will because right now, just getting to that 25 number is going to take some work. Remember when people were worried about numbers?

Now, that’s not an issue. And if Michigan strikes out on guys like Jayden Thomas, Ceyair Wright and Titus Mokiao-Atimalala, they may need to extend some new offers.

The other thing is that Michigan football already has 21 commitments, fresh off the verbal pledge from running back Tavierre Dunlap on Saturday.

Donovan Edwards, George Rooks and Rayshaun Benny are the top three priorities left in 2021 and the Wolverines have crystal ball leads with each. Wright is another top target, but getting him out of California, without visits, is going to be difficult.

But if you wanted to list the top five targets remaining in 2021, Wright and Thomas make sense after receiver Markus Allen decommitted last week.

As always, an obvious question after a commitment, is who’s next? And looking into the future in 2021 and 2022, here’s the best guess.
