Wide receiver

Starters: Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, Giles Jackson,

Backups: Roman Wilson, A.J. Henning, Xavier Worthy, Mike Sainristil, Christian Dixon, Markus Allen, Andrel Anthony

As much as it stinks, we will probably never see Nico Collins in a Michigan football uniform again. Like Mayfield, Collins should declare for the 2020 NFL draft and that’s what I’d expect.

As far as the receivers go, that will hurt. But, on the plus side, Michigan is loaded with young talent at the position.

The departure of Collins will force Cornelius Johnson into a more prominent role. At 6-foot-3, he will be the big, physical wideout for Michigan.

Ronnie Bell will also have to play a bigger role and likely will see more snaps on the outside. It’s tough naming three receivers because U-M will spread the field with four, so I think Giles Jackson, Henning, Wilson, Worthy, Dixon, Sainristil, and maybe even Markus Allen will all get their shot.
