It feels like nearly every single time the Wolverines travel to Memorial stadium, they have to outlast the Hoosiers in an unwanted dog fight just to survive. Not to mention that it screams trap game a week before Ohio State.

Michigan season’s almost went in a different direction a year ago in Happy Valley with a colossal comeback and that won’t soon be forgotten. Penn State’s defense will take a serious hit though, with star linebacker Micah Parsons choosing to sit out as reports have detailed.

The Badgers come calling at an inopportune time for Harbaugh’s young men. A week after the showdown in Columbus wraps up one of the hardest stretches in all of the nation for the month of October.

This one can set the tone for the entire season. With Penn State looming on the horizon, finding a way to win away from the Big House has to be treated like a Big Ten championship game every time out.

Getting over this hump is going to take an effort that hasn’t been seen in this rivalry for nine years. Winning a Big Ten title and earning a chance at the playoffs goes through Ohio State yearly and that will not change until Harbaugh beats the Buckeyes.
