Starter: Chaundee Brown

Backup: Eli Brooks, Adrien Nunez

While it isn’t a guarantee for a waiver, having your coach fired is something that should warrant a waiver from the NCAA. When Danny Manning was released from the Demon Deacons staff, Chaundee was already in the portal, but that shouldn’t matter.

On the off chance Chaundee isn’t granted immediate eligibility, there are options.

In a world without Brown, to the casual observer, it may appear that Michigan doesn’t designate a primary ballhandler. Brooks is going to be starting in the backcourt with Smith, which means there will be two very capable ball handlers and distributors. While that may seem like a problem, both are gifted at scorers and will be on the hardwood with a couple of sharpshooters.

Behind Brooks will be Adrien Nunez. Adrien had a chance last season to make an impression on the staff and fans when injuries struck the Wolverines. His inability to sink open shots and some defensive mistakes were evidence that he just wasn’t ready for the big time last season.

With very little depth at the two, Nunez will again have the opportunity to prove he deserves more playing time. Or, if he falters, a transfer next season might be the best route.
