Donovan Edwards is the final domino

The recruitment of Donovan Edwards hasn’t always been easy to read. Michigan football has been there from the start though and while at times Ohio State, Georgia and even Oklahoma have had momentum, Harbaugh and the Wolverines have been the constant.

Michigan has given him his space when needed, but Harbaugh has also forged a really solid relationship with Edwards and that was a big key. Josh Gattis too, because he’s sold the offense to Edwards and I don’t think that’s a hurdle.

He should be excited about how Michigan could use his abilities and if he does wind up in Ann Arbor, I think he’ll be the Wolverines most complete running back since Chris Perry.

With Xavier Worthy committing and now potentially Andrel Anthony, as well as Rocco Spindler and Rayshaun Benny, the momentum is hard to ignore. Spindler especially is key as EJ Holland said on a Periscope Q&A Wednesday night that Donovan told him he wants to run behind Rocco.

Edwards told Harbaugh he wants to win championships and he’s been paying close attention to the recruiting classes of potential schools and he has to like what he sees from the Wolverines.

And if visits don’t happen, like with Benny, that should help with Edwards and at the end of the day, unless things change drastically, it feels like Edwards will eventually be a Wolverine.
