His Accuracy

It’s not a major problem that would blow up in his face and cost him the starting job, but it is something that’s fixable. McCaffrey connected on his fair share of passes, but there is always room for progress. Plus the fact that he personally will have better receivers to throw to this year should make it a little easier on him during the journey.

He was a career-best 53% in 2018 on 15 attempts and 50% in 2019 on 20 attempts. When adding up his totals, McCaffrey is a mere 51%. He also was perfect in two outings last season, albeit they were on a combined four attempts in blowout victories. To his credit though, there were dropped passes and he somehow hasn’t thrown an interception in his brief appearances for Michigan football either.

His vision has got to be a prime attribute he wants to improve before camp arrives. At times, he can lead his receiver too much or not see a defender get in the passing lane. He can also make some nerve-wracking throws that will leave people left wondering why he made that decision.
