Duncan Robinson, Miami Heat

Of all the former Michigan basketball players who will be taking part in the remainder of the NBA season, Duncan Robinson of the Miami Heat is going to be one of the most entertaining to watch.

Simply put, his rise for former Division III player to Michigan player to NBA starter has simply been incredible and his growth in the NBA has been meteoric. After not getting drafted out of college, he shot his way into a two-way contract and after playing in 15 games a year ago, he’s seen action in 63 this season and started 60.

Oh and he also happened to set the Heat’s single-season 3-point record already. He also knocked down more 3-pointers in a season than any other undrafted player in NBA history. He plays 30 minutes a night for the Heat, who sit 4th in the East at 41-24 and averages 13.3 points a game. He makes 3.7 3-point field goals per game and is shooting 43.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Along with Hardaway, Robinson isn’t just a role player, he’s a central part of Miami’s team and he will be an integral part of their playoff run.
