For the next man on this list, we must jump a little farther in the past as we meet the 8th-best Michigan point guard of all-time in Antoine Joubert.

After being named Michigan’s Mr. Basketball in 1983, Antoine, who was an incredible scoring guard, evolved his game when he arrived at U-M to become one of the best passers in Wolverine history while still maintaining his scoring prowess.

In his four years, Michigan basketball won the Big Ten Championship twice and the NIT tournament, which he told the Ann Arbor News are among his favorite memories of Michigan.

“Basically these championships (1984 NIT title, 1985 and ’86 Big Ten championships). We’re here (back at Michigan) because of these championships and we still stay in contact. We call each other but we’re here because we got a chance to win a championship and when you’re in college, that’s your goal as a team, to win a championship.”

By his senior year, Antoine was averaging 15.6 points, 3.7 assists (5.7 during sophomore season), and 3.7 rebounds.

Joubert entered the NBA draft and was selected in the sixth round. Even though he was a skilled scorer, rebounder, and passer, Antoine never found his niche in the NBA and instead played his professional career for other organizations.
