Michigan Football: 4 Key recruiting battles Wolverines are likely to win
Michigan just about certain to add a fourth 4-star O-lineman
The offensive line has been a hot topic for Michigan football fans throughout this recruiting cycle and following the NFL draft, which saw four players get picked in the 2020 NFL draft.
That was thanks in large part to the incredible job done by O-line coach Ed Warriner, who has been just exceptional as a recruiter. Not only does Michigan have commitments from three four-star players already in Giovanni El-Hadi, Greg Crippen and Raheem Anderson, but all signs are pointing to the Wolverines adding another in Massachusetts standout Drew Kendall.
The 6-foot-4 guard, which some teams also like as a defensive tackle, is rated as the No. 81 overall prospect by 247 sports. He’s No. 106 in the 247 composite rankings and 65th overall via Rivals.
Between Rivals and 247 sports, a total of 14 recruiting experts have placed predictions for Kendall and all of them project him to the Wolverines. All of the picks have been logged since April and while the confidence level from the 247 guys isn’t quite as high as with Dixon, the average is still seven and it’d be a major surprise if Kendall didn’t end up at Michigan.
