Jack Cote is easily the most optimistic of the group, choosing not to give in to the negativity that has quickly spread through the Wolverine fanbase as a result of the winless streak against Ohio State. No, for Jack, Michigan football will rise out of the slump and into legendary status.

Here’s Jack Cote’s prediction:

Michigan football is back. Ideally, Dylan McCaffrey is the quarterback, but at some point during the season, one will separate from the other. Just like the Brady-Henson battle. That season turned out to be quite the success, beating Alabama and Ohio State to end the season. I see a similar ending in 2020. All major sports teams with big markets that are well-known to struggle at some point, but each program finds its way back. With Michigan football, it has been a rough stretch under the direction of Jim Harbaugh, but that rough stretch is coming to an end.

We saw signs of improvement after a near-heroic comeback against Penn State, followed by a miraculous blowout against the Fighting Irish. This is a keen football program, regardless of what the wins and losses say. The wins will come. I’d love to say Michigan football will win the College Football title this year, but in all honesty, there is one unbeatable team, the Clemson Tigers. So, the odds are quite low of capturing a national championship trophy. But, I believe the Michigan football program will bounce back, finish 12-1, beat Ohio State, win the Big Ten, and secure a playoff spot. That playoff spot will be a proud moment until Trevor Lawrence comes in and tears the Wolverines up. Winning ways are upon us Ann Arbor, Go Blue!
