What Brown can bring

Brown, who included Michigan in his top five late would be another perfect fit for a few reasons. First though, he could bring a lot from a basketball perspective.

Much like Isaiah Livers, Brown is a big wing who stands 6-foot-7. He shoots a lot of 3-pointers and of his 8.9-career shots per game, 3.2 of them have been 3-point field goal attempts.

For his career, Brown is a 32-percent 3-point shooter, which isn’t spectacular. It’s not Isaiah Livers territory, but few players can shoot the ball as well as Livers does.

Brown can play the three and the four. He’s a very good rebounder and averaged 6.5 per game last season, while also shooting 50 percent on 2-point shots, meaning he knows how to finish. Brown would be a great fit in the Big Ten and since he added U-M late, he has to have a strong interest.

UMHoops ($) also reported that Brown held a video chat with Howard, which “went well.” He’s yet to put out a timeline and there’s some question about when he would be eligible. Here’s more on that.
