RB Blake Corum

On the offensive side of the ball, there are two guys who look ready to make an early impact and one of them is Blake Corum, who ranked as the 128th-overall prospect in 2020 according to 247 sports composite rankings, as well as the No. 12 running back.

Corum offers something a little different than the two returning backs for Michigan football, Zach Charbonnet and Hassan Haskins. They are bigger, more physical backs, while Corum is more of an all-purpose guy who can do just as much damage receiving as running.

While there certainly is a need for that in the backfield, what will make it more difficult for Corum to find time on the field right away is the return of Chris Evans, who will be a senior this season and was a former starter.

Evans is also a dynamic athlete and someone who has a penchant for long runs. He’s also an exceptional receiver and tremendous in the open field, so he will get used too. However, my bet is Josh Gattis finds a way to get both guys the football, at least a few times per game.
