Who knows if the 2020 Michigan football season will start on time, but if it does, here are five bold predictions for the Wolverines.

Under normal circumstances, Michigan football would be coming off of spring football as we look ahead towards the 2020 season.

Instead, the Wolverines and the rest of the college football world haven’t been able to take part in team workouts or even in-person recruiting since March. That may start to change this summer, but it’s hard to say if Michigan football and other programs will be practicing this August in order to gear up for the season.

If COVID-19 forces the start of the season to get pushed back, I’m confident it will happen at some point. Whether things start later in the fall or even in the spring, I believe, in my heart of hearts, that we will have a college football season in 2020-21.

So what will that season look like for Michigan football?

It’s obviously an important campaign for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines for a lot of reasons. For starters, U-M faces the dreadful 0-5 record against Ohio State under Harbaugh, with a trip to Columbus looming tentatively in November.

But with Ohio State looking like a juggernaut again and Michigan still trying to decide who its starting QB will be next season, 2020 probably won’t be the year the streak ends.

However, that doesn’t mean 2020 will automatically be a failure. Michigan can achieve a lot with this roster next season and for a look at what could happen, here are five bold predictions.
