Michigan Football: Top 5 NFL Draft prospects for Wolverines in 2021
By Ryan Kraus
Kwity Paye
Kwity Paye, like Thomas and Eubanks, made the choice to come back to Michigan for his senior season. The case could have been made for the Rhode Island product to make the jump to the NFL after a productive junior season. He couldn’t pass up the opportunity to put on the winged helmet for one more season.
Kwity has played in 24 games for the Wolverines. After only making two appearances as a freshman, he has been entrenched on the line for the past two seasons. He has gotten to learn from the likes of Winovich and Gary as well as Maurice Hurst, all of whom play on Sunday’s.
A strong junior season has put Paye on the map. He is a run stopper and has the skill to get to the quarterback that is evident by the 6.5 sacks that he had last season. His 12.5 tackles for loss show that he likes to be in the backfield.
Paye has an opportunity to move up draft boards with another productive season. His stats from last season are impressive and if he can replicate them more people will take notice.
Another season to show that he is a disruptive force on the defensive line will put Kwity in position for a big payday like his former d-line teammates.
