Michigan Basketball: 3 bold predictions for Franz Wagner next season
Wagner will develop into a first-round pick
If Wagner wanted to head to the NBA, he likely would have been selected in the 2020 draft just based on his potential and his ability to shoot.
Michigan basketball isn’t the first big stop for Wagner, who was one of the top young players in Germany, where he was a professional. Instead of staying on that team, Wagner chose Michigan and like his brother Moritz Wagner, it will lead to him being selected in the first round of the draft.
Moritz led the Wolverines to the national title game before getting picked by the Lakers and in 2020-21, Franz will take a similar step. He and Livers will lead Michigan basketball to a really solid season and another appearance in the Sweet 16.
Livers will do enough to get himself drafted late in the second round, while Franz, who will earn First-Team All-Big Ten honors next season, will be selected near the end of the first round, just like his brother.
