Josh Uche found the perfect landing spot

When Chase Winovich was drafted in the third round by the New England Patriots, it was clear Chase landed where he would thrive, and the Patriots got a guy that can come in and contribute right away.

This year, the Patriots did it again.

Josh Uche was a puzzle for the Wolverines. He was a pass-rush specialist with the body of a safety or a lighter linebacker. He might get overwhelmed by a massive offensive lineman, but he could occasionally use his speed to avoid them.

Uche proved inconsistent, just like his position.

NFL scouts weren’t afraid of the confusion. They noted UM should’ve used him more often and that he has the potential to become a sack specialist. The Patriots listened and drafted him in the second round. They didn’t want Josh Uche; they needed him.

He’s the perfect fit, Uche found the perfect landing spot.

With the Patriots, Josh won’t have to find a place on the starting team defense right away, although they may use him in specific pass-rush scenarios.

They may also move him around a bit to see where he stands out. Obviously, his ability to get to the quarterback is his best trait, but he’s athletic enough to move around.
