With the 10th overall pick…

The Pittsburgh Steelers select Devin Bush, the University of Michigan.

What didn’t Devin accomplish in college?

Two-time Walter Camp All-American, Consensus All-American, Two-time Associated Press All-American, Sporting News All-American, Two-time Butkus Award Finalist, Bronko Nagurski Award Finalist.

172 tackles, 10 sacks.

An instant impact guy on any NFL team.

Bush arrived at the NFL Combine with the drive and motivation to jump the ranks and rake in first-round money. He was already a first-round pick, but how far could he go?

4.43 forty, 21 reps, 40.5 vertical. Devin was and is in peak physical condition.

Playing in all 16 games and starting in 15 of them, Bush was unblockable on his path to 109 tackles, four fumble recoveries, and two interceptions.

With the 12th overall pick…

The Green Bay Packers select Rashan Gary, the University of Michigan.

One of the highest, if not the highest, ranked recruits to ever come to Michigan. Out of high school, Gary obtained a perfect composite score and was the No. 1 overall recruit for the 2016 class.

His freshman year saw some positive numbers, but nothing compared to the 5.5 sacks and 11 TFL during his sophomore campaign. Injuries, schemes, and double teams caused a drop in production, but Rashan was still an active member of the defense and any NFL team would be lucky to have him.

As the draft neared, some teams began to wonder how badly his shoulder was injured and they were mesmerized by his extremely low Wonderlic score. Those aware knew his dyslexia certainly impacted his ability to take standardized tests which is why he didn’t drop outside of the first round.
