He’s Just Getting Started

The debut season of the Juwan Howard era has to go down as a successful one. He had his alma mater in the national mix by Thanksgiving.

Howard took down the rival Spartans in a rematch. Most importantly though, he had his guys poised to make the big dance and conceivably cause some chaos at full force.

He can quickly turn his attention to hopefully getting Livers back. If Livers does return, which he is expected to, then the maize and blue can lean on him to be one of the best returning players in the country and especially in the Big Ten. That elevates the Wolverines stature to throw them in the mix depending upon who else comes back to other schools within the Big Ten.

It’s not going to be easy, but after one year under Howard, Michigan basketball is slowly on the path to the mountain’s peak. A lot of people were worried about how things would play out, but whenever next season commences, Howard will most certainly have his men ready to wreak some havoc again. This time around it will be surprising to no one.
