2. Comeback at Penn State

After back to back losses, and Coach Carr’s system of two quarterbacks coming to an end, it was finally time to name Tom Brady the starting quarterback.

Week after week, Brady proved that he was the better quarterback by the way he performed on the field, and the season came to a point where he needed to be out there representing the Maize and Blue every snap.

In a matchup later in the season against Penn State, Tom Brady did the unthinkable. With 3:35 remaining on the clock in the fourth quarter, and the Wolverines trailing by 10 in Beaver Stadium, the Comeback Kid was born.

Brady led the Wolverines back, winning the game 31-27 to take down sixth-ranked and Big Ten rival Penn State.

There wasn’t a more exceptional leader in college athletics at the time than Tom Brady. We look back now and realize this game was the beginning, the birth of the comeback kid, and foreshadowing years to come.

After coming up short in the Michigan State game, Brady’s resilience and competitive nature allowed him to lead the Wolverines to victory in this marquee matchup. But, Brady’s proudest college moment was yet to come.
