“I was always watching Michigan football, seeing that they were a hard-nosed football team,” Dominick Giudice, who committed to Michigan on March 25th, said. “That’s what I am all about — just getting after it.”

Guidice isn’t the typical Michigan recruit. He isn’t as heralded, but that’s likely has to do with him being criminally underrated by the major sites.

247 sports gave him three-stars with an 8054 composite.

Dominick is barely on Rivals radar, with two-stars and zero rankings.

ESPN didn’t rate him at all.

Former NFL lineman Dino Mangiero believes in his star. Dino is the head coach at Mater Dei Prep, one of the best in New Jersey.

“You’re just gonna see a kid play with his hair on fire,” Mangiero said. “Straight-laced, hard-working, great academic student, and (Michigan fans are) gonna be amazed by how hard he plays. He’s just got a tremendous motor and I think that’s what they should be looking for and that’s what they’re gonna see. He’s special.”

It’s his physical development that sets Dominick apart from his peers. Dino said that in eighth grade, Guidice was a taller but skinny kid. Guidice has grown significantly since and worked so hard on strength and conditioning that “he doesn’t have an ounce of fat on him,” according to Mangiero.

Dominick is listed in 247 sports at 6-foot-4 and 250-pounds, although, according to his coach, he’s closer to 262-pounds.

Per his Hudl page, Guidice accounted for 24 sacks and 43 tackles for loss during last season.
