811. . . . Jeremy Gallon . 4. player

What couldn’t the 5-foot-8-inch Jeremy Gallon do?

Setting the Big Ten’s record for most receiving yards in a game – second in the FBS to the Troy Edwards – was one of his finer moments bearing the winged helmet. Gallon ravaged the Indiana defense on his way to 369 yards and two touchdowns on 14 catches.

It was his masterpiece. All of those offseason workouts. All of those practices day-in and day-out. All of it culminated in that masterful performance. That contest was no different than a beautiful classical composition or a tremendous painting—beauty in the rarest form.

Gallon has other matchups that he can add to his highlight reel. The month before the sheer domination over the Hoosiers, Gallon picked apart the Fighting Irish. Jeremy and Devin Gardner connected 14 times again, but Gallon was restricted to 184 yards. His red-zone usage was off the charts with three touchdowns, however.

So many fantastic outings have landed Gallon’s name in the Wolverine’s record book in 35 places.

When he finally left Michigan after 2013, with 1,373 yards his final season and 2,704 total yards, Gallon was selected in the seventh round by the New England Patriots. As an undersized receiver, Jeremy wasn’t able to break onto the starting roster and eventually moved onto various minor leagues.
