Tom terrific

There’s a reason why I chose current and former Michigan football players. Tom Brady isn’t someone that is recognized as one of the best Wolverine quarterbacks of all time, although he did lead Michigan to a co-Big Ten championship an Orange Bowl win during his career.

As a senior, with Drew Henson hot on his tail for the starting quarterback job, Brady led the Wolverines to a 10-2 season, a season capped with an overtime win over Alabama, in which Brady led Michigan football from 14-down twice to win.

Since getting drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft, all Brady did was lead the New England Patriots to nine Super Bowl appearances and six Super Bowl titles. He also won a few MVP awards along the way, both during the season and during the big game.

Brady was also one of the last quarterbacks to beat Ohio State. After him, it was Drew Henson, John Navarre and Denard Robinson. That’s it. So not only could Tom entertain me with his NFL stories, but he could also take me back to the good ole’ days of Michigan football, which should help pass the time during a quarantine without sports.
