DJ Turner

There might only be one three-star prospect on this list but as DJ Turner and others have shown throughout the years, you don’t need to be a four or five-star guy to make an impact.

Turner was ranked 400th overall in the 2019 class but the 6-foot, 180-pound freshman was impressive during his first season with the Wolverines, earning some playing time on special teams as he won a letter.

This season, Turner will be hoping to win a starting job opposite Ambry Thomas and he’s someone that’s expected to push the No. 3 corner from last year Vincent Gray.

True freshman Andre Seldon is another to name to watch and it’s possible that he and Turner could share the nickel role. Cornerback coach Mike Zordich is going to have his work cut out for him especially if Turner takes the big leap like he is expected to.

Turner impressed during bowl prep but he will need to take his game to another level to stand out in the secondary and he’s another that could have used spring. But still, with what Turner has done to this point, he should at least be a factor this fall.
