Andre Seldon

Just like at wide receiver, Michigan football is in pretty good shape when it comes to the cornerback position, especially with two of the top three guys back from a year ago in Ambry Thomas and Vincent Gray.

Thomas was a starter and will likely be the No. 1 CB this season for the Wolverines. The 6-foot speedster considered going to the NFL and probably would have been drafted, but decided to return. Gray, who is a little bit bigger, will likely be the other starter.

Gray is a solid man corner and brings a physical presence on the outside. He held up well a year ago and so the question is who will be the third corner or the slot corner?

Had spring ball gone forward, one candidate that likely would have emerged is Andre Seldon, a four-star freshman that enrolled early and could see the field quickly next season.

He’s short at 5-foot-8 but he’s dynamic and it would have been fun to see what he could do right away after some positive reports about him early in winter workouts.
