Follow for the future

Whether it’s football or basketball, recruiting is still happening and even though recruits can go to schools for visits or anything like that, kids are still releasing top-10 lists and making commitments, so there is still a lot of pay attention to.

Certainly, it will be harder to track things with players not actually going to campuses and there also could be an impact on some of the basketball circuits put on that allows coaches to watch prospects in person later in the spring and summer.

Michigan football canceled about 100 visits with recruits and the Wolverines weren’t the only school to do that before the NCAA put a clamp down on all recruiting contact through this period.

But with social media, things are always happening. Victory Vaka, a Michigan football target released his top five Saturday, which included the Wolverines. There have also been other developments to follow, such as basketball target Greg Brown getting some new crystal ball projections.

It’s not March Madness, but it’s at least one thing to follow that’s team-centric going forward.
