Isaiah Livers

There is nothing more terrifying to a Michigan basketball fan than watching Isaiah Livers get up after a violent engagement with an opposing goliath and begin limping to the sideline. When it happens in Crisler, you can hear a pin drop. There are no real words spoken, just gasps indicating their concern for UM’s sniper and for the rest of the season.

Without Livers, the Wolverines went on a four-game losing streak that started the apocalypse in Ann Arbor. If you paid attention to social media, people truly believed it was time to forget about the accomplishments and look forward to the incredible recruiting class headed to Crisler next year.

Once Isaiah’s groin injury healed, Michigan rebounded with a nice little 7-2 winning streak in the last nine games since dropping those four. That includes the road trip to Rutgers when Michigan became the first and only team to earn a win at the RAC, which was without Livers due to an ankle injury he suffered – giving false hope that Juwan, and his men, learned to adjust in the absence of his best three-point shooter. It was a solid performance, but Howard bested Rutgers at Madison Square Garden before Livers returned to the lineup; He has figured out the formula to avoid falling to a surging New Jersey program.

Michigan basketball needs Livers.

Who else?
