Nebraska

The Wolverines had their troubles; although, they haven’t experienced anything close to what Nebraska is going through this season. The Cornhuskers have posted an atrocious 2-12 in Big Ten play with wins over Iowa and Purdue, and they do seem to be improving on iota.

Since the New Year, Nebraska has defeated exactly one team and have slid into an 11 game losing streak. It’s not bad, it’s terrible, effortless, shameful basketball, but someones got to do it.

One of those 11 disappointing defeats was at the hands of UM. Eli Brooks (20), Franz Wagner (18), and Brandon Johns Jr. (16) led the Wolverines for scoring with Eli acting as a one-person wrecking crew posting nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

For Michigan basketball to win, all it has to do is show up. Merely making an appearance should constitute a victory over the conference laughing stock.

For Nebraska to pull it off, it needs a miracle. The Huskers nearly performed such an astonishing feat when the Spartans were in town, but they fell apart in the second half. The Cornhuskers must sustain success instead of relenting every time something doesn’t go their way.

The Wolverines have already displayed their dominance over the Big Ten bottom feeders in their place of business. It will take significantly less this time, in Crisler, with their leading scorer.
