Home against Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers are led by junior big man Nate Reuvers and the phallic flicking Brad Davison, who’s one-game suspension for striking Connor McCaffery‘s manhood is an insult.

Hand out the cups, gentlemen; the dong tipper is coming to Crisler.

Jokes aside, Wisconsin is a dangerous team that, much like Michigan, in the fight for its life for a spot in the tourney. Sitting at 16-10, the Badgers have five games remaining, which starts with Rutgers today and at Michigan on Thursday for a night matchup. Then they will host Minnesota and Northwestern, and they finish it out in Bloomington.

None of their final games are against ranked opponents; however, each team presents its own challenges and difficulties, and the Badgers aren’t exactly at the top of their game. If Greg Gard’s squad is to drop one or two, the NIT may be their best hope, so there can be no mistakes.

The Badgers are well aware that they sit higher in the Big Ten standings then all of their final opponents, but Michigan is on the rise, and Wisconsin has gone 4-3 in their last seven games – not quite a collapse, they are on the verge, though.

For Michigan basketball to pull off the victory, the Wolverines must change precisely nothing from what they have been doing recently. Regression is deadly, and progression is unlikely and not needed as we may be witnessing the Wolverines operating close to their ceiling.

For Wisconsin to win, they will need the Wolverines to have a full-fledged collapse that results in Jon Teske giving up major points in the paint, Austin Davis dissolving to irrelevancy once more, and Isaiah Livers forgetting how to shoot 44 percent from three and 49 percent from the field.
